While walking around New York I could hear the echoes of the song Empire State of Mind. Growing up people ingest a lot of positive propaganda about New York City. With this series, I wanted to document a different version of the city than what you hear about in the media. To do this I photographed In the Times Square area, a place that first comes to mind when you think of the city.
